Presented with MAMA's Coffeehouse at the Birmingham Unitarian Church, 38651 Woodward Ave, Bloomfield Hills, MI

Hosted at the Birmingham Unitarian Church of Michigan with support from MAMA's Coffeehouse, this intimate evening will weave together Aspen's heartfelt original songs with beloved covers that have inspired her musical journey. Her captivating performances have earned recognition across Michigan and beyond, making this a memorable evening for longtime fans and first-time listeners alike. Whether you've followed Aspen's music for years or are hearing her for the first time, you'll enjoy an unforgettable evening while helping protect the wild places and wildlife we all cherish.

A Metro Detroit native, Aspen first discovered her passion for music at just nine years old while busking in downtown Ann Arbor. She attended Interlochen Arts Academy for her junior and senior years of high school as a scholarship student in its prestigious Singer-Songwriter Program before recently graduating from the University of Southern California's renowned Popular Music Program. Today, Aspen is an award-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose thoughtful lyrics and modern take on folk and roots music have earned national recognition. She has performed at many of Michigan's premier festivals and listening rooms, including The Ark, Wheatland Music Festival, Ann Arbor Summer Festival, Trinity House, and 20 Front Street. Her music has also received numerous songwriting awards and accolades.

Aspen's connection to the Sierra Club is also personal. Her father, Ken Jacobsen, serves as the Sierra Club Southeast Michigan Group's Outings Chair and the Michigan Chapter's Outings Committee Co-Chair, helping hundreds of people each year discover and enjoy our region's parks, trails, and natural areas through guided hikes and outdoor experiences.

All ticket sale proceeds, less event expenses, will support the Sierra Club Southeast Michigan Group's work to protect parks, rivers, wildlife, and the Great Lakes while advancing clean energy, promoting environmental stewardship, and creating opportunities for people to connect with nature.

Come enjoy an evening of exceptional music, community, and conservation, and help make a difference close to home!
