This year’s March on Main Street from Prospect Hill (Milford’s Kroger parking lot) to The SHAC is being held on Sunday, January 20th. Line up for the march starts at 12:30, and the ceremony commences promptly at 1:00 p.m. with a brief presentation and National Anthem performance. The march travels through downtown and ends at The SHAC for the concluding ceremony where there will be multicultural finger foods, hot beverages and other assorted refreshments, a presentation of awards for the contest winners, as well as music in celebration of the holiday. The HVMLK Day Committee will also provide information on how to be a part of upcoming community service projects in its efforts to continue Dr. King’s vision of the Beloved Community where citizens of all ages and backgrounds donate time, effort, and energy to promote peace and unity.
